Monroe Arts Center is thrilled to present the second of three concerts in 2019 by the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) Chamber Players. An hour-long classical concert with music by composers Giachino Rossini and Igor Stravinsky will performed by a nine-member ensemble playing violins, cello, bass, clarinet, bassoon, cornet, trombone, and percussion. An informal reception will immediately follow the performance.

Now celebrating its 59th season, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) and its ensembles, is a vibrant and thriving professional orchestra dedicated to connecting its audiences to the transformative power of music.  The Orchestra performs approximately twenty-five concerts per year, including Concerts on the Square®, Masterworks, family concerts, and other performances reaching 240,000 people.  With a core orchestra of 34 musicians and a home in the Capitol Theater at Overture Center for the Arts and on the steps of the state Capitol building, WCO is one of the top chamber orchestras in the country.

The nine-member ensemble performing March 31 include musicians Leanne League (violin I), Gerald Loughney (violin II), Timothy Archbold (cello), Kris Saebo (bass), Nancy Mackenzie (clarinet), Amanda King Szczys (bassoon), Robert Rohlfing (cornet), Michael Dugan (trombone), and Lana Wordel (percussion).
