An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of “The Snow Queen” on Monday, January 13 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Those auditioning should arrive in time to register (3:30 pm – 4:00 pm) and plan to stay for the full two hour audition. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are the Snow Queen, Gerda, Gerda’s Grandma, Gerda’s best friend Kay, Kay’s Grandma, the Gardner Woman, Bae the Reindeer, Yeti, the Little Robber Girl, Mr. and Mrs. Crow, the Prince, and the Princess. There are also Hobgoblins, Snow Animals, Robbers, and Snow Chickens. Roles are suited for all ages, skill and experience levels.

Students, ages Kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4:00 pm to 8:15 pm each day.

Two performances of "The Snow Queen" will take place on Saturday, January 18.  Performance times are 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th Street, Monroe, Wisconsin.

NOTE: Rehearsals are open to parents, chaperones, and teachers. Be aware, that it may be fun for the students to surprise their family members at the end of the week by showing what they have accomplished. Please understand that guests will not be allowed to disrupt the audition or rehearsals. Productive rehearsals depend on the focused work of the cast members involved.
