n our terrific Performance Series this season is the one and only Don McLean. Come join us on a "Starry Starry Night" Friday, September 26, 2008 for an evening as comforting as mom's "American Pie."
The rest of the series only gets better!
The season includes another set of performances of the Monroe Arts Center's and the Monroe Theatre Guild's production of A Christmas Carol. This production was so popular last year that it may become a holiday tradition.
And this season, once again, we've turned over our speakers series to a celebration of Monroe's Sesquicentennial. Join us for three evening get-togethers this fall to remember the past and to celebrate the strengths of this place that many have called home for 150 years. The crowning event of the Sesquicentennial Celebration will be a forum on the future with a global view.
Our "Sunday Concert Series" continues-now in its fourth year-with three exceptional performances this fall. Sunday afternoons have never been better!
And, of course, our Frehner Gallery Exhibits continue to inspire. In celebration of Monroe's Sesquicentennial, this September includes an exhibit by Dennis Dalton titled "Monroe Re-photography" featuring fascinating historical photographs and their contemporary counterparts.
Please join us this season! Share with us the experience of the arts and the sense of community that has made the Monroe Arts Center a model for small cities everywhere.
As always, keeping up to date with MAC's schedule is as simple as coming right here—to our home page!
