These three artists were brought together through membership in the Momentum Art Guild of Northwest Illinois.  This exhibit, which showcases their individual interests and talents, reflects their very diverse backgrounds as artists.

Originally from Chicago and now residing in Lena, Illinois, Star Hauki studied Fine Art and Human Anatomy before receiving a diploma in Radiology Technology.  Hauki works with a variety of subject matter through painting, drawing, carving, and sculpture.  His work often explores the power and depth of the human facial expression.

Lena, Illinois artist Dale Johnson works in acrylics, watercolors, and pastels and likes to focus on man-made objects.  He explains, "Vehicles and buildings reveal a soul imparted into them by the care and love of the craftsmen who constructed them."  He tries to portray his subjects as proud and strong, reflecting their ability to withstand the tests of time and weather.

Sam Tucibat resides in Baileyville, Illinois and creates digital photographic compositions.  Photographs of the natural beauty and rustic architecture of rural northwest Illinois near Galena and the Mississippi River provide Tucibat with a base for his digital creations.  Photographs are embellished and enhanced to create visually unique compositions which retain the spirit and mystery of the land from which the source images were taken.
