Amalia Perry, Instructor & Interim Gallery, Education & Communications Manager
About the instructor:
Amalia grew up surrounded by the arts with both her mother and her grandmother being professional artists. While her mother taught her most of her portraiture skills and instilled a great love for the visual arts — books and literature have a huge portion of her heart.
She studied creative writing and poetry at both the University of Iowa and the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom where she lived out her Pride and Prejudice dreams. Outside of her role here at the Monroe Arts Center, Amalia is also passionate about singing and can often be found at the Madison Music Foundry or off writing new songs for her next album.
