DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception: \nFriday\, May 22nd 2025\, 5:00 – 7:00 PM \nGallery Talk 5:30 PM\nAll of our gallery spaces and openings are free to attend and open to the public.\nARTIST’S BIOGRAPHY & STATEMENT\nMy interest in textiles\, primarily embroidery and rug-making\, began in girlhood and culminated when I became a quilter more than forty-five years ago. This interest intensified after I discovered medallion quilts. For over twenty years I’ve incorporated orphaned blocks into NOW Quilts (Nod to Other Women) which has invigorated my work by challenging me to honor patterns\, colors\, and fabrics anonymous women chose. I quilt by hand and my frame is a prominent feature in my home. \nGallery Exhibits have been supported by MAC Corporate Underwriter Colony Brands\, Inc. and Season Media Underwriter Big Radio\, with additional support from Chuck & Chris Wellington\, Lee & Chris Knuteson\, Mike Sanders\, Michael Furgal\, Mike & Shelley Muranyi\, Deb Thompson\, and Jane Paradowski.
