Founded in 1915, The Notre Dame Glee Club combines the rich traditions of Notre Dame with the highest standards of artistic excellence. Each year the 60-voice chorus presents a wide-ranging repertory in several formal campus and tour concerts, as well as in dozens of informal performances at University events. The Club’s membership is drawn from all courses of study at the University.

Their concert programs customarily include classical a cappella music for the men’s chorus, as well as folk songs, African-American spirituals, barbershop arrangements, and songs of Notre Dame.

The Notre Dame Glee Club tours domestically twice each year, and internationally once every other year;
over the last quarter-century they have performed in over 40 U.S. states and in 20 countries in Europe,
Asia, and Latin America.

Host families are needed to house 60 Glee Club students on the night of that concert. Following the concert at the Monroe Arts Center, host volunteers will pick up the students, provide them lodging overnight in their homes, and bring them to MAC on the morning of October 22nd. Housing volunteers from previous concerts tell us this is an awesome experience. If you can help, please contact Becky Venden at 608-325-5700 or bvenden@monroeartscenter.com.

The performance by the Notre Dame Glee Club has been supported by MAC Corporate Underwriter Colony Brands, Inc. and Season Media Underwriter Big Radio, with additional support from David and Julie Buchanan, Lee and Chris Knuteson, Bob and Gaida Vickerman, Chuck and Chris Wellington, and Deb Thompson.
