The Sundogs are a four-piece Madison-based band, founded in 2000, specializing in lively covers of popular yet diverse guitar rock from the 1960s onward — Beatles, Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hendrix, Cream, Peter Frampton, The Who, The Eagles, The Cars, Tom Petty, U2, Nirvana, Green Day, Dire Straits, and a few surprises when they can work them in. The three constants since nearly the beginning have been founding members Jon Martin (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Grant Petty (lead guitar), and Janesville bass player Graham Judson who joined in 2005.  John Weekes brought his amazing drumming chops to the band in 2019.  The Sundogs have performed for community events, weddings, private parties, fundraisers, and other events in Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Illinois.

The Sounds of Summer outdoor concert series has been supported by MAC Corporate Underwriter Colony Brands, Inc. and Season Media Underwriter Big Radio, with additional support from David & Julie Buchanan, Deb Thompson, David & Janeen Balber, Paul & Sue Barrett, Hans & Bobbie Bernet, Kevin & Chris Callahan, Bill & Elaine Bethke, Mike Furgal, John & Donna Glynn, Ken Klassey, Jane Paradowski, Tom & Karen Vale, Barb Woodriff & Pete Guenther.
