Tap has long been a popular dance form featured in club revues, Broadway shows and Hollywood films. Tap is one of the oldest dance forms in the U.S. This class is designed for the very beginner who would like to learn the basics while improving balance, rhythm, and musicality.
This program is a non-recital/non-competitive dance class. Join us for the fun of it!

Class Time: 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm
Location: Start Center (Multipurpose Room – located on the west side of the building)
Age: Adult
Supplies: Students must purchase their own tap shoes.
A note from the instructor: One of my favorite shoes is Cadence ($90) or Fluid ($70) by Capezio. It is best to buy on the Capezio website to not get a cheap imitation. I order a size up from my regular shoe size. IT IS CRITICAL THE SHOE IS COMFORTABLE FROM THE START! They will stretch a bit over time but that only softens them a bit. If they are tight or loose from the start, it will be a rough go. Don’t be afraid to send them back, just try them on carpeting. They do not take back shoes that even have a slight scratch. They are way better with exchanges than they are returns.

Session III – $64 (February 7 – March 27, 2024)
Session IV – $64 (April 3 – May 22, 2024)
Registration for each Session is $64. Register for all Sessions (32 classes) for $250. (Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted)
