Details
The popular MAC Youth Art Class is expanding to provide new a Friday Afternoon after-school, Junior Art Explorations. This offering was developed to continue to offer a fun, creative activity for students aging out of our Youth Art Sessions, and also students who are hungry for more art outside of their class schedule.
In this art program, students in 5th through 8th grade can continue to build their lifelong discovery, exploration, and appreciation of the arts. During each of the six sessions, art instructor Lauren Burkey will provide lessons in various aspects of art and art techniques, focusing on a different dimension each season. She will guide students through projects that are designed to be customized to each artists interests and skills, giving them room to explore while building confidence and having fun.
This offering has limited enrollment for its pilot season. Enrollment in more than one session is not required.
