Please join us for this extra special event where two of southern Wisconsin’s most extraordinarily talented musicians join forces to present a violin and piano concert in the MAC Concert Hall!
Robert Eversman is the Music Director at Heritage Congregational Church in Madison, Wisconsin; he has held similar positions in both Illinois and Wisconsin since 1984. He holds degrees in music from Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Robert started playing the violin when he was 8 years old and later studied with both Dr. Myron Kartman and Elizabeth Matesky. He also enjoys writing music, so for today’s concert he composed all five unaccompanied cadenzas for the concerto by Mozart.
Collaborative pianist Calvin Guse is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in piano performance and mathematics. A student of internationally-recognized pianist Professor Martha Fischer, he is the staff pianist of Crossroads United Methodist Church, and regularly provides service music for Luther Memorial Church and Bethel Lutheran Church. Calvin accompanies musicians of all skill levels, ranging from middle and high school Solo and Ensemble festivals to college level auditions and recitals. He has performed for patients and staff of the UW-Hospital as a part of their Sound Health program, and has also recently starting being the accompanist for the Wisconsin Chamber Choir.
