Artful Sips – Snip & Sip

Learning the Swiss Folk Art of Scherenschnitte

This art form involves cutting a continuous design from one piece of paper.  This art of scissor cutting began in the small villages of Switzerland.  The Swiss immigrants brought this folk art to America in the late 1700s.

Class Time: 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Location: Monroe Arts Center – Start Center

Instructor: Linda Schiesser, local scherenschnitte folk artist

Supplies: All supplies will be provided to students

Fee: $20 (includes one free glass of wine)
