John Carson is a pianist from Minnesota. He attended St. Thomas Choir School in Manhattan, New York from age 9 to 14. There, he sand as a chorister in their choir and developed an interest for piano. From 2010-2014, he studied privately with Marcantonio Barone in Bryn Mawr just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with an additonal concentration at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. From 2014-2018 he studied with Dr. Christopher Atzinger and Dr. Kent McWilliams. Afterwards he pursued his Masters degree in Chamber Music with Tatevik Mokatsian at the Hochschule Musik Saar in Saarbracken, Germany. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctor of Music in collaborative piano at the Jacob’s School of Music studying with Dr. Futaba Niewaka and Kevin Murphy.
