Take a deep dive into all things Urban Sketching. This one day workshop will walk you through all the materials and a plethora of subject matter to get you inspired. We’ll cover the basics of line, shape, value and color theory. After each lesson participants will put into practice what they just learned and get immediate feedback and encouragement.

Class Date: Saturday, October 21, 2023

Class Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (There will be a one hour lunch break/Lunch will not be provided.)

Location: The class will begin in the StArt Center. ((Multipurpose Room – located on the west side of the building.) The class may move to other local locations through out the day.

Age: This class is designed for all ages. Children can attend as a paid registrant and must be accompanied by an Adult who is also a paid registrant.

Fee: Adult – $70/ Under 18 – $35

Materials: Materials are not included.

     Materials list:

– sketchbook

pencil

– Micron pens

     At least one of the following sets:

– watercolor set & paint brush and/or water brush

– Colored Pencils

– watercolor pencils

– gouache set

– colored gel pens

About the Instructor: Bonnie Schetski has shown her work nationally and has been published in the Coulee Region Women Health and Living Magazine and Photography Forum Magazine. She has also received grants to support visiting artists. Inspired by the powerful symbolism and visceral quality of water, her work is informed by the waterscapes and habitat of the Midwest.
