2009-2010 Monroe Arts Center (MAC) Entertainment Season
A terrific new Entertainment Season is ready and waiting for you! Don't miss the excitement when we open our Entertainment Season on Saturday, September 26, 2009 with Big Top Chautauqua. Their Blue Canvas Orchestra and singers present theor original musical theater, multi-media production, "Wild Woods and Waters." It’s an unforgettable celebration of our land and heritage!
The rest of the season only gets better!
The season includes another set of performances of the Monroe Arts Center's and the Monroe Theatre Guild's all-new production of A Christmas Carol. The popularity of this annual seasonal event has made it a holiday tradition.
The Monroe Arts Center proudly presents the Holiday Community Sing-Along. Bring the whole family and raise your voices in song and celebration of this most festive season.
Once again, we're presenting a Distinguished Speaker Series, which is devoted to the topic of Wisconsin institutions. A Forum on News Media and Democracy will tackle the subject of how traditional news is gathered by the American media.
Our Sunday Concert Series continues-now in its fifth year-with three exceptional performances this fall. Sunday afternoons have never been better!
Debuting this season are three Summer Concerts. Jazz, Folk, and Bluegrass musical performances are the perfect addition to a summer evening.
And, of course, our Frehner Gallery Exhibits continue to inspire with a variety of unique contemporary and traditional fine art, paintings, glass art, sculpture, fine art photography, and other types of visual art. Frehner Gallery is a place for artists to express new ideas and for the viewer to enjoy the arts in a welcoming environment. We invite you to personally visit anytime.
