Slam Poetry Class This free verse form structure aims for students to choose a topic that is close to them and explore its emotional depths through poetry. Our last session will offer a performance space at MAC for students to share their work with an audience.

Children's Picture Book Writing & Illustration Elementary-aged children will engage in a “group-write” of a children’s picture book text through creative writing prompts given by the instructor followed by learning the process of storyboarding and illustrating a final children’s book illustration.

In this 3-session workshop, students will learn brainstorming techniques, writing structure and creative editing using peer review to pen their creativity using this uniquely structured poetic form.
